uPVC windows warranty, service and repair in Kerala

Made to last.Looked afterfor years.

Every Sidra window comes with an XX-year warranty and a team in Aluva that stays on call after handover.

Warranty

What our XX-year warranty covers.

Because we make and fit every window ourselves, our uPVC windows warranty is simple: one company answers for the frame, the glass, the hardware and the installation. And when your windows need a service, a repair or a check before the monsoon, the same team comes back.

Care

How to clean and care for uPVC windows.

01

Wipe the frames

Use a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive pads, solvents and bleach, which can dull the finish.

02

Clear the tracks

Vacuum or brush dust and leaves from sliding tracks so the sashes keep gliding smoothly.

03

Keep drainage open

Check the small drainage slots at the bottom of the frame and clear any blockage before the rains.

04

Oil the hardware

A drop of light machine oil on hinges, locks and rollers once or twice a year keeps them moving freely.

05

Check the seals

Look for gaskets that have lifted or hardened. If you find one, call us and we will replace it.

All FAQs

How long is the warranty on uPVC windows?

Sidra uPVC windows and doors come with an XX-year warranty, with the exact period for each component set out in your warranty document at handover. Because we both make and install the windows, the warranty covers the frame, hardware, glass and our installation together, so you deal with one company rather than separate suppliers and fitters.

What does the Sidra warranty cover?

The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the uPVC profile and steel reinforcement, the hardware we supply, the glass and sealed double-glazed units, and the workmanship of our installation team. It does not cover accidental damage, misuse or changes made by others. Full terms are given in the warranty document, and we are always happy to check a problem and advise.

How long do uPVC windows last in Kerala?

Well-made uPVC windows, properly reinforced and installed, last for many years in Kerala's climate, because the material does not rust, rot or attract termites. Hardware and gaskets are the parts that wear, and both can be adjusted or replaced. A simple check before each monsoon helps your windows stay sealed and smooth for as long as possible.

Do you repair or service uPVC windows you did not install?

Our service team looks after Sidra windows first. For uPVC windows made or installed by others, we can often adjust hardware, replace gaskets or reseal frames, depending on the system and the availability of parts. Send us photos or a short video on WhatsApp with your location, and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

How often should uPVC windows be serviced?

A simple check once a year is enough for most homes, ideally before the monsoon. Clean the tracks and drainage slots, oil the hinges, locks and rollers, and look for gaskets that have lifted. Homes near the sea or on busy, dusty roads may benefit from more frequent cleaning. Our team can carry out a pre-monsoon service visit if you prefer.

What should I avoid when cleaning uPVC windows?

Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders, bleach, solvents and strong chemical cleaners, which can scratch or dull the frame and damage gaskets. Do not use sharp tools in the tracks, and avoid pressure washers aimed at seals. A soft cloth with mild soapy water is all the frame needs. For the glass, any ordinary glass cleaner works well.

Can a damaged uPVC window be repaired?

Usually, yes. Most problems involve parts that wear or need adjusting, such as handles, locks, rollers, hinges and gaskets, and these can be adjusted or replaced. Broken or misted glass can be replaced without changing the frame. Severe damage to the frame itself may need a new sash or window. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will advise.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Call or WhatsApp our team with your name, address and a short description of the problem. A photo or video helps us understand it before we visit. We will check your project details, arrange an inspection and explain what is covered. Keep your warranty document from handover, which lists the coverage for each component and the period of XX years.

Do I get the warranty in writing?

Yes. At handover we walk you through every window and door, then give you a written warranty document. It sets out what is covered, for how long, and how to request service. The coverage period is XX years, with full terms in the document. Keep it with your house papers, along with the itemised quote and invoice.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Warranties generally exclude accidental damage, misuse, damage from building work or alterations by others, and normal wear such as gaskets that need replacing after many years. Glass broken by impact is also usually excluded. The exact exclusions for Sidra windows are listed in your warranty document, and are [to be confirmed]. If in doubt, ask us and we will check.
